I'm Looking For Someone To Love - Buddy Holly
Sherry Darling - Bruce Springsteen - 8/03/05 - on piano - "I got some beer and the highways free..."
All That I Had - Paul Westerberg

Forward (version) - Lee "Scratch" Perry/Upsetters - Not the most original dub but perhaps thedre is more here than meets the ear.
Ready Or Not - Jackson Bronwe
60 Seconds to What - Ennio Morricone - I got some guy at Tower to buy this.

1. "Miss World" - missing other track info, but sounds to me like the Afghan Whigs from the b-sides comp I recently stumbled on. Continues trend so far that every Greg Duhli I've heard exudes that same slow-burn cool & the slow-burn pain. Of the existential sort.

2. "Circle Round The Moon" - Charlie Patton. Speaking of existential pain. I hope the Democrats can pass legislation granting every American a free copy of the Screamin' & Hollerin' box set. Otherwise I'm voting McCain.

3. "Talkin' WW3 Blues" - Dylan, Live 64. A Cadillac must be the best car to drive after a war.

4. "Woman Is The Nigger of the World" - John Lennon. I've always been annoyed by this song, and when I rebuild my John disc-ography playlist, I'll probably have to leave it off.

5. "Miserable Lie" - The Smiths, Peel Sessions. Reminds me that I just can't listen to Morrissey the way I was once able. Which is a good thing.

6. "Across The Wire" - Calexico, Feast of Wire. The only band that can play a Chi Chi's and an indie rock festival the same weekend.

7. "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues" - Dylan, Live 64. Furthers my theory that the iPod's 'Shuffle Mode' isn't truly a random shuffle, but devised from a secret algorithm that's yet to have been deciphered. (Recently Played, Most Frequently Played and same words in Artist/Album/Song categories are but some of the variables at play here. Trust me.)

8. "In Love With You" - Paul Burch, East to West. A real country musician making real country music for other real country musicians.

9. "Wisdom" - Brian Jonestown Massacre. A man with complete & unabated anger creates completely abated & angerless music...

9=10. "Revolution" - The Beatles, Love. Not a mash up per se, just remixed so the 2nd guitar (the one not playing the main riff) is right up under the bright lights and kicking the shit out the other instruments. THIS FUCKING ROCKS. Thank you Sir George Martin. I'm sorry for doubting you.

I do know it's gonna be alright. Do you?

1. The Grateful Dead - And We Bid You Goodnight (from Live/Dead) what a wonderful way to begin something yet o so solemn

2. Hawkwind - Lord Of Light (from Doremi Fasol Latido) kinda makes you want drop ahsid and go outside during a meteor shower, and then learn how to play the guitar and write songs that sound the way that the meteors tasted that night

3. Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized ; oh fuck. things are getting ugly around here. dont worry though, it can only get more uplifting from here. good song though mike.

4. Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno - OM Riff From The Cosmic Inferno ; things are not looking good for the USS Hendo. They just encountered an all conquering 51 minutes of sonic slop. And for the sake of my sanity, I did not actually listen to the entire song as I made my way through the top 10. time to go break out the ganj.

5. The Queers - Burger King Queen (from Grow Up) At last, something that appeals to my pop sensibilities.

6. The Reatards - I Like Your Titty (from Not Fucked Enough). Finally. we're more than halfway though our journey, and we've only gotten to our first LOVE SONG

7. The Troggs - Night Of The Long Grass ; who the hell programed this ipod anyway?

8. Mississippi John Hurt - Monday Morning Blues ; Do I hear angels? is there a light at the end of the tunnel? i want MJH music at my funeral

9. Jolly Boys of Lafayette - Jolly Boys Breakdown ; this world needs more cajun music like it needs an ice cream sandwich, and yes, the world does need an ince cream sandwich

10. Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf ; Let me just say that this is quite possibly the last song on this entire ipod that i actually wanted to hear as i wrote that last song down, getting ready for it to end. Another JYD casualty, but it does osund better with a little fuzz thrown underneath (!!!!!!!!!) yes.
